TONAL ATLAS
TERMS OF USE & PRIVACY POLICY
Version 1.0 | October 2026
Please read these terms before installing or using Tonal Atlas. By installing, activating, or using the software, you agree to these terms, subject to your rights under applicable law.
SECTION 1 — SOFTWARE LICENSE
Tonal Atlas is licensed, not sold. Purchasing Tonal Atlas grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the software in accordance with these terms.
The license is a one-time purchase and does not require a subscription or recurring license payments.
All rights not expressly granted remain with Tonal Atlas and its respective rights holders.
SECTION 2 — ACTIVATION AND COMPUTER LIMIT
Each purchased Tonal Atlas license includes access to both Windows and macOS versions of the software and permits activation on up to two computers, in any combination:
- Two Windows computers
- Two Mac computers
- One Windows computer and one Mac computer
The two-computer activation limit applies to the license as a whole, regardless of operating system.
A valid license key and internet connection are required for initial activation. Once activated, Tonal Atlas operates locally without requiring ongoing internet access.
License keys are intended for use by the original license holder and may not be shared or distributed to others.
SECTION 3 — COMPUTER REPLACEMENT AND LICENSE TRANSFERS
If you replace a computer or need to transfer an existing activation to another machine, please contact Tonal Atlas Support at support@tonalatlas.com or through our Get in Touch contact form.
Activation resets and transfers are currently handled manually. Reasonable requests resulting from computer replacement, hardware failure, or similar circumstances will be accommodated.
Tonal Atlas reserves the right to investigate and decline requests involving suspected license sharing or abuse.
SECTION 4 — MUSICAL CONTENT AND COMMERCIAL USE
Tonal Atlas includes chord progression libraries, melodic MIDI loops, instruments, and other musical resources intended for creative use.
You may use Tonal Atlas and its included musical content to create original compositions, recordings, arrangements, soundtracks, and other musical works for personal or commercial purposes.
No additional royalties or licensing fees are owed to Tonal Atlas for music created using the software.
You may export, publish, distribute, perform, and commercially release your musical creations, including musical arrangements incorporating the included MIDI loops.
However, you may not extract, reproduce, redistribute, resell, or repackage the included MIDI loops, instrument samples, or other factory content as standalone sample libraries, MIDI packs, or competing content products.
You are responsible for ensuring that any third-party material you import into Tonal Atlas is used in accordance with its applicable copyright and licensing terms.
SECTION 5 — SOFTWARE RESTRICTIONS
You may not:
- Distribute unauthorized copies of Tonal Atlas or its license keys.
- Share a personal license with multiple unrelated users.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with license activation or copy-protection mechanisms.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software except where expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Redistribute factory instruments, samples, MIDI content, or other protected assets except as permitted under Section 4. Third-party samples included in Tonal Atlas remain under their own licences, listed in the Credits file installed with the software.
These restrictions do not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.
SECTION 6 — UPDATES AND FUTURE VERSIONS
Tonal Atlas is an actively developed application. Improvements, maintenance updates, bug fixes, and additional features may be released periodically.
A perpetual license grants continued use of the purchased software version, subject to these terms.
Future major upgrades, additional products, or optional content may be offered under separate terms or pricing. Purchasing a license does not guarantee free access to all future major versions.

This policy does not limit any additional rights available under applicable consumer protection laws.
SECTION 8 — WARRANTY AND LIABILITY
Tonal Atlas is developed with care and is intended to operate as described in its documentation.
Software compatibility and performance may vary depending on computer hardware, operating systems, audio interfaces, DAWs, and third-party plugins.
